Estate Planning Checklist - What do you need to plan your estate legallyTo make the first meeting productive, bring the following items to get started on your estate planning:

  • Any existing wills, powers of attorneys, living wills and trust documents;
  • Settlement or Property Distribution Agreements associated with divorce or business separation matters;
  • Life Insurance Policies;
  • Most recent Income Tax or Gift Tax Returns;
  • List of all family members, including children, step-children, adopted children, spouse and extended family;
  • A detailed list of all assets and beneficiary designations associated with such assets;
  • If you are employed or retired, a detailed list of your employee benefits, pension and 401-k plans as well as Individual Retirement Accounts for both individuals and business;
