A Living Will, or Advance Medical Directive, allows the client to make choices regarding his or her medical care under certain circumstances and before her or she becomes incapacitated. The purpose of such a document is to provide instruction regarding treatments that may prolong your life. Some of the therapies that must be considered and are addressed in a Living Will are cardiopulmonary rescuscitation, mechanical ventilation, nutrition and hydration, antibiotics and pain medication therapy. These written directives are the best way to guide your family and loved ones when they are struggling under the stress of caring for a loved one. Living Will
